Watershed Floodplains

 Watershed Floodplains

The watershed has numerous floodplains and areas that could flood if heavy rainfalls happen. These flood areas could potentially cause major issues along the river, in the towns and cities to the west and in the counties of the east (Whitesell, 2015).

This map was found on the FEMA website. I looked up the Heron Rookery (which is part of the watershed) to see the flooding that could occur in that area. The potential of flooding in that area would overflow to the forest and agricultural areas.
